Teaneck Projects Status

Project Description:
The scope of the project consists of resurfacing of all Roads in the 2024 Road Resurfacing Program final list with a total linear length of over 3 miles. The improvements include milling and paving of the roadway, reconstruction of the handicap ramps according to the ADA standards and installation of detectable warning surfaces, resetting of castings, installation of traffic stripes and marking and other incidental roadway items. The scope includes full depth reconstruction of Hemlock Drive North including new drainage and tie-in to the town drainage system.

Milling and paving finished for this season. Contractor is working on the punchlist and remaining streets will be done in spring 2026.

Project Description:
Maple Avenue is a concrete street. The scope of the project consists of the concrete repair of Maple Avenue from Lincoln Place to Helen Street approximately 800 Linear feet. The improvements include selective concrete repair of the roadways, various traffic improvements, reconstruction of the handicap ramps according to the ADA standards and installation of detectable warning surfaces, resetting of castings, installation of traffic stripes and marking, spot repair of concrete curb and sidewalk, replacement of curb piece with type N – ECO and other incidental roadway items.

Project Description:The scope of the project consists of the resurfacing of Palisades Avenue from Tryon Avenue West to Dead End, Tryon Avenue West from Palisades Avenue to Queen Anne Road and Galway Place from Palisades Avenue to Dead End. The improvements include milling and paving of the roadway, various traffic improvements, reconstruction of the handicap ramps according to the ADA standards and installation of detectable warning surfaces, resetting of castings, installation of traffic stripes and marking, spot repair of concrete curb and sidewalk, replacement of curb piece with type N – ECO, Drainage improvements and other incidental roadway items.

Construction started in November. Concrete work is completed, milling and paving will be done in spring. Manhole covers were placed as part of additional work.

Project Description:
The scope of the project consists of construction of a 1,000 Sq. Ft Water Splash Pad at Phelps Park right next to the new restroom. The splash pad will be surrounded by a 5 ft wide concrete deck with various site amenities like benches and trash receptacles and an access walkway to get to the Splash Pad.

Construction has started, drainage connection was done. Contractor will now start working on water line and concrete pad.

Project Description:The scope of the project consists of complete design and bid specifications of Exercise Stations in Brooks Park.

Project Description:
The scope of work includes the design, Geotech testing management, and construction management for the installation of 9 bioswale to improve stormwater management, enhance water quality, and promote ecological benefits. The bioswale will be designed to capture runoff, filter pollutants, and allow water infiltration into the soil.

Project Description: The scope of the project consists of the replacement of approximately 800 LF of 8” clay Sewer mian, beginning at sanitary sewer manhole at the intersection of Teaneck Road and Livingson Place and proceding west to Manholes at the intersection of Livingston Place and Palisade Avenue and to the dead end of Clinton Place. The existing 8” clay sewer main ranges from 6’ to 7’ in depth and is over 90 years old. The construction cost will be covered by a supplemental Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) of $250,000 that needs to be utilized by end of 1Q2026. All connections to the residences will be reconnected into the new sewer main as part of this project.

Bids were opened on 12/30/2025. Apparent Lowest Bidder is Matina & Son Inc. with total bid of $367,500.00. Waiting for the Award of contract.

Project Description:
The scope of the project consists of structural inspection of the pedestrian bridge over Palisade Avenue, Windsor Road and CSX Railroad. The project also include design and construction of prioirty repairs. The pedestrian bridge structure consists of a five span, simply supported through-girder bridge supporting a 7’-3” wide, 6” thick concrete deck, transverse floorbeams span between the main steel girders. The bridge servers as a connection bewteen Windsor Road and Palisades Avenue, crossing over three railroad tracks used by CSX transportation railroad.

Project Description: The scope of the project consists of development of engineering plans and related construction management and inspection services for Construction of Brooks Park restroom. The new Restrooms will be brand new prefab 9 Feet 4 inches by 20 Feet structure exactly like the one installed in Phelps Park, with 3 restrooms, one for each gender, one for family and a storage area, utilities and other incidental items.

The improvements include full construction of the roadways including curbs, base construction and paving, installation of traffic stripes and marking and other incidental roadway items.

The scope of the project consists of 2 main amenities as described below.
Replacement of Children Playground: Removal of existing Playground equipment, install new playground equipment, new playground surface and installation of other site amenities for two separate play areas. One for 2-5 years old and another for 5-12 years old children.
New Restroom: Installation of a new prefab restroom structure, Construction of concrete pad, and all relevant plumbing, electrical and drainage.
General site improvements such as access walkways, landscaping, asphalt surfacing, site restoration, grading and drainage and other incidental items are also included in the scope.

The scope of work involves the design, permitting, and construction management of a 187,000-gallon stormwater detention system. The system is intended to manage stormwater runoff for Belle Avenue area, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to stormwater management, sustainability, and flood prevention.

The scope of the project consists of the resurfacing of Fycke Lane from Teaneck Road to Glenwood Avenue border approximately 2,900 linear feet. The improvements include milling and paving of the roadway, various traffic improvements, reconstruction of the handicap ramps according to the ADA standards and installation of detectable warning surfaces, resetting of castings, installation of traffic stripes and marking and other incidental roadway items.

Project Description:
The scope of the project consists of the reconstruction of all four Tennis courts in Argonne Park. The improvements include repair of concrete border, excavation and removal of the current Tennis court, installation of new base, new asphalt pavement surface, installation of new chain link fence, and new surface paint and striping for both Tennis and Pickleball layouts.

Reconstruction and expansion of Basketball Court: Removal of existing court, installation of new base, new asphalt pavement, new chain link fence, new surface paint and striping and new lighting fixtures.
Reconstruction of Baseball Field: Removal of existing field, Excavation, grading and drainage, installation of new base and surface, installation of new dugout and sprinkler system.
General site improvements such as access walkways, landscaping, asphalt surfacing, site restoration, grading and drainage and other incidental items are also included in the scope.
